New painting (nearly) completed
I have been wittering (and twittering) on about this for what seems like years and I am pleased to report that ‘Cayley’, one of the paintings for the open exhibition submission, is nearly (although not quite) completed:

I must admit that this has been a particularly tricky one to complete - not really sure why but I definitely feel that I have been in combat with it! I am not sure how this one is going to be received by others? I have spent so much time looking at it recently I’m not able to look at it objectively (or subjectively for that matter!).
I would like to tidy up a few bits on the background, and possibly some areas on the figure, if I have time. I am stepping away from this one for the next week or so and will have another look then, although I won’t be too disappointed if I don’t have time to do anything else.
I have now re-commenced work on 'Clasp' in earnest to try and get it to a state that I would be happy to submit for the open exhibition. If I get this one completed on time I will have met the target I set for myself earlier in the year. Fingers crossed for a couple of ‘good art’ weeks!
