I thoroughly enjoyed the life drawing workshop on Saturday. It was a full day and I must admit I was exhausted by the end. I had forgotten how much concentration is required! I am pleased with the results and am already looking at opportunities to attend more classes:
Working from a model helps me to be less precious with my work; using charcoal and pastels enabled me to not worry if things went wrong. I feel that the drawings are quite confident; I surprised myself with the quite scruffy style I seemed to naturally adopt as my studio paintings are a lot more controlled:
Hopefully I can translate this enthusiasm into my studio practice and get some of my five on-going projects completed! Off for an evening of inspired painting now...
